Welcome!
At Skipping Stones Behavioral Learning Center, we are proud to provide compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming ABA services grounded in respect, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. Our approach prioritizes assent-based care, where each client is an active, willing participant in their own learning process.
We do not use compliance training, extinction-based procedures, physical prompting, or interventions aimed at reducing stimming. Instead, we focus on antecedent-based strategies, functional communication, self-advocacy, and skills-based teaching to support meaningful, lasting progress.
We prioritize using Natural Environment Teaching (NET), allowing skills to be taught within real-life, play-based, and engaging routines. Our program structure balances predictable, structured days with free time intentionally embedded, helping clients learn to navigate schedules while developing autonomy and flexibility.
We also emphasize school-readiness, equipping our clients with the foundational communication, social, emotional, and adaptive skills they need to thrive in classroom and group settings.
We provide staff with Safety-Care training, ensuring the highest standards for safety, respect, and dignity. We believe in building on our clients' strengths, honoring neurodiversity, and aligning treatment goals with both family values and the child's own voice and priorities.
